G.O.T. Orchards (Generations of Threads) is a Rhode Island–based nonprofit rooted in connection, mentorship, environmental unity, and shared humanity.
We transform overlooked land into inclusive orchard spaces where teens and senior mentors grow together through nature, storytelling, purpose, and community.

THE STORY
Purpose Begins to
Take Root
When Edifice became a nurse, she saw how both teens and seniors experienced different forms of disconnection.
She recognized a truth:
Two generations flourish when connected — and struggle when separated.
This awareness led to creating spaces where generations meet, learn, and support each other naturally.
OUR PROGRAM
What We do
Senior Mentors – Vibrant, Wise, Valued
Our senior mentors bring decades of knowledge, cultural heritage, emotional wisdom, and life lessons. In return, teens help seniors stay connected and appreciated.
Teen Mentors – Youth Leadership & Growth
Teens gain leadership, empathy, communication, confidence, and hands-on learning while mentoring peers and teaching seniors modern skills.
Volunteers – Community Roots
Volunteers support orchard maintenance, planting days, environmental workshops, events, and fruit distribution — becoming part of the orchard’s roots.

Meet the Founder — E. Bemah, RN
Edifice’s life began with childhood resilience, foster care, and her mother’s courage to reunite their family.
Her 30+ year nursing career revealed the same disconnection she once felt as a teen — inspiring the creation of G.O.T. Orchards, where no child is left out and no senior overlooked.
